Italy’s Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, has announced the introduction of new incentives to promote the spread of renewable energy communities (RECs) in the country. The news was notified to Brussels and includes two key measures.
The first measure concerns a general incentive intervention for those who join energy communities with a premium for self-consumption and separate tariffs for power bands.
The second measure concerns the allocation of 2.2 billion euros from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRP) for non-repayable financing of up to 40 percent of the cost of building a new plant or upgrading an existing plant in the territory of municipalities with up to 5,000 inhabitants.
The two measures were introduced to promote local renewable energy production and to incentivize the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Powerteam, which focuses on renewable energy, is well positioned to take advantage of these new incentives. The company is committed to becoming a leader in creating sustainable energy communities throughout Italy by working with top financial partners. Powerteam has invested in advanced technologies and research to develop new solutions for energy communities, offering customized solutions to meet the specific needs of residents and businesses.
Energy communities are local energy production and consumption networks that enable residents in a specific geographic area to share energy more sustainably and efficiently. Participants can reduce carbon emissions and the cost of electricity.
Powerteam is striving to become the leading player in creating energy communities by working with top financial partners.
The incentives provided by the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security represent an opportunity for renewable energy companies, such as Powerteam, to expand their operations and promote the use of clean and sustainable energy sources. The ultimate goal is to create sustainable energy communities around the world by increasing renewable energy production and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Powerteam believes that sustainability is a key priority for the energy industry and that energy communities are the key to achieving this goal.
In summary, the introduction of new incentives to promote the deployment of renewable energy communities represents a great opportunity for businesses, municipalities, and all participants in each renewable energy community (REC).
